Silk Weight
- White with white piping: 25 momme
- White with black piping: 25 momme
- Champagne with white piping: 25 momme
- Charcoal with white piping: 22 momme
A higher momme or heavier silk weight means that the fabric is softer, thicker, and longer lasting. We chose 25 momme for our lighter colors in order to create a more opaque pillowcase with a satin finish, and 22 momme for our darker colors in order to develop a deeper color with a higher sheen.
Our Artisan Aunties forbade us to go over 25 momme, as they said the silk would be too firm and uncomfortable against your skin. As always, we trust their expertise.
